The event will once again be held at the Mecure Great Danes Hotel in Maidstone, winners will be announced and presented with awards in May 2018.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The event aims to find the very best teachers, support staff and volunteers across Kent, nominations are open for the public, making a nomination is straight forward and can be done here: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.kmcharityteam.co.uk\/schools\/teacheroftheyear\/\">http:\/\/www.kmcharityteam.co.uk\/schools\/teacheroftheyear\/<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>A panel of judges select winners from each local authority area, and then have the tough task of picking the county\u2019s overall champions.<\/p>\n<p>Catherine Spencer said:<\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p>Nothing is more important than a good teacher. The academic and pastoral work delivered in class lays the foundations for success for the next generation.
